This part of the liturgy coincides with the mealtime, the meal hymn is sung, after which “Holy God,” then the meal reading, the meal Gospel, and the Creed. “Holy God” is repeated three times as a sign of the Holy Trinity, and with a changing sentence according to the mystery of the day.
