Court orders criminal proceedings to be initiated in connection with incident at Mother See

Lawyer Ara Zohrabyan reported that the court has ordered the investigative body to initiate criminal proceedings in connection with the incident that occurred at the Mother See on December 18 as part of the anti-church campaign. The bishops who met with Nikol Pashinyan on December 17 called on citizens to gather at the Mother See the next day and demand the resignation of the Catholicos of All Armenians.

On December 18, participants in the anti-church campaign displayed hooligan behavior near the Mother See. Although a report was filed on the fact, the investigative body decided not to initiate proceedings, which the prosecutor's office also supported.
