Citizens gathered in front of the court greeted the Armenian Patriarch with chants of “Vehapar”

On August 7, the first session of the preliminary hearings in the case of Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, and six bishops began at the Echmiadzin residence of the General Jurisdiction Court of Armavir Region. Judge Hakob Manukyan recused himself in a closed session. Citizens gathered in front of the court greeted the Patriarch with chants of “Vehapar”, expressing their support and disagreement with this judicial process. The congregation of the Mother See and the faithful accompanied His Holiness to Holy Etchmiadzin. In the Mother Cathedral, the faithful participated in the evening service, prayed with the Patriarch for the stability of our country and the Church. His Holiness sent his blessing and pontifical message to everyone.
