The choir of deacons performs the hymn "Bless the Lord" —a hymn of repentance for the "little ones"—which belongs to the third authentic mode of the sharakan musical system. Although the hymn is modest in its poetic and musical content, it possesses great spiritual depth. The sharakan-writing hierarch invites the faithful to bless, praise, and glorify the Lord.
