There are several feasts dedicated to the Mother of God in our church calendar, the Feast of the Annunciation is the only one that is based on the Gospel story. By the order of the Patriarch of All Armenians, on the Feast of the Annunciation, at the end of the liturgy, a blessing ceremony was held for women awaiting the joy of motherhood.
