With his philanthropy, the first Armenian church was built in Minsk, which bears the name of the first Armenian Patriarch, Saint Gregory the Illuminator. The Patriarchal canon was sung to the accompaniment of the hymn "The Only Begotten in the Father", in which His Holiness expresses his appreciation to the benefactor for his church-pious and patriotic work.
