Genocide Studies: prospects and issues

As the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide draws nearer, it can become a turning point in the process of the international recognition of Armenian’s big tradegy, provided the commemorative actions are not limited to exhibitions, protests and film shootings. It’s been widely voiced out that there is a lack of fundamental studies on the Armenian Genocide and our scholars are passive in the international academic circles.
