Hrant Matevosyan: a prophet or an annalist of darker days?

What and how was writing Hrant Matevosyan before independence? Why didn’t he ever go back to writing after independence? What should H. Matevosyan be considered – a Soviet Armenian writer, or an author whose compositions made the way for the collapse of Soviet Union? What was the impact of Matevosyan’s literature on the prose created in post-independence period?
