On April 23, 2015, the ceremony of canonization for the victims of the Genocide was held in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Around 400 years later, the Armenian Church offered the ceremony of canonization. Why and based on what principles did the victims of the Great Armenian Massacre were canonized, why wasn’t it possible to do before the centenary of the Armenian Genocide, what is the sacrament of canonization?
