Metalurgical center in B.C IV-II millenniums. A blossoming city with observatories, palaces and holy places in B.C XI-IX centuries, and later in the period of Van Kingdom. Lively commercial cross-road in medieval period. Metsamor ancient castle-settlements, which is now a reserve-museum, is one of the unrepeated monuments in the world culture, still giving place for excavations and promising more findings. Hayk Hambardzumyan spoke about the significance and secrets of Metsamor with the Deputy Director of the "Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum Reservations", PhD in History and professor Ashot Piliposyan.
