Samples of the exhibition come from two different collections. In one section, there are materials collected by the “ARAM” association about Armenian refugees in the former military camp Camp Otto in Marseille. In the other, there are exhibits from the collection of the History Museum, which tell about the places from which Armenian refugees arrived in France. Most of the refugees are from Sebastia, but also from Konya, Yoghzat, Ayntap, Van, Kharberd and Tokat. The refugees who were deported in 1915 wandered in the deserts for a long time, trying not to go far from their birthplaces, without losing hope of returning home. The fall of Izmir in 1922 finally destroyed their hopes of returning. This is due to the fact that they arrived in Marseille not in 1915, but in 1922.
