Children of the Holy Church

A choir of deacons performs the hymn "Children of the Church". It is one of the spiritual hymns of repentance of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and belongs to the second plagal musical mode. Its author is the Catholicos Petros Getadardz. This hymn is sung during periods of repentance—such as Great Lent, weekly fasts, and individual fast days—when the faithful turn to Jesus Christ to seek the Lord’s forgiveness for their sins. The hymn is interpreted by Father Komitas Ghevondyan.
