On September 30, the Treasury House of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin saw the opening of a new Manuscript Gallery donated by Carl and Emma Soghoyans to the Mother See. Emma Soghoyan attended the opening ceremony.
The collection of manuscripts stored in the Mother See contains about 1000 pieces. It also includes the first printed Armenian Bible. All exhibition halls are heat-resistant and provided with necessary conditions for maintenance of manuscripts and papers.
At the opening of the Manuscript Gallery, Archbishop Datev Gharibyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Brazil, was awarded the St. Nerses the Graceful Medal of our Church for his 50 years’ service.
